Microedge Electronics has launched a weighment recording system for spinning mills that records online every weighment right from issuance of cotton to dispatch of yarn. Intelligent terminals are used next to weighing scales in various sections of the production unit. The actual raw material input to each section is weighed and registered to the terminal. All the intelligent terminals are networked and connected to a central computer fro online recording. A windows based weighment recording software at the PC collects and collates all the weighment data and generates MIS reports. The actual flow of material through the production process, the quantity and type of waste generated in each section, and the efficiently of each section are available online at the central computer.
