Scientists at the Rensselaer Polytechnic school are developing a thin film envelope that not only adheres solar cells but also heat pups onto surfaces. So we may soon have walls, windows and even bottles of soda turned into climate control systems. It is expected that the thin film version of the system will have uses in range of industries from aerospace to auto mobiles. The ABE technology will help create packaging material for thermal control, and some day we may see self cooling soda bottles.
